Suffering is integral to the human experience.

We hurt each other. The sweet spot is what happens after.

What does repair look like when you are hurt?

A tear drop of pine resin—the most precious gift oozes from the wound. December, 2025.

Do you tend to the wound alone? Do you let the wound fester? Do you seek help? Do you let others see the wound?

While collecting pine resin for perfume and incense, I received the clearest message — go to the wound if you want to encounter the gift.

Pine trees excrete resin when they are damaged. Resin is this beautiful and incredibly sticky substance that protects an open wound and allows it to heal.

The act of collecting resin is a practice that connects tree, bee, and human. Open a beehive and you will smell propolis because bees know how to process the vital gift offered by a wounded tree.
